The OASIS Travel Department invites you to join them for one of their exciting day trips.
With a variety of destinations from museums and musicals to gardens, gambling casinos and more, there is definitely a trip for you to enjoy! All day trips include deluxe transportation from the OASIS Senior Center to the destination and return. Extended trips are offered through the Travel Department and flyers are posted in the Travel office.
Come by the OASIS Senior Center and meet the Travel Department volunteers or call them at 949.718.1810 for assistance. They will be most happy to help you find the trip of your choice. Trips are sold on a first come-first sign-up basis.
Become a member of the Friends of OASIS and receive your personal monthly copy of the “OASIS News” for complete details of all trips and activities at the Center.

Braille Institute & Guide Dogs of America

Departure Time Change*
Travel to Los Angeles for a visit to the Braille Institute, an environment of encouragement for people with limited vision. Tour the classrooms, library and publishing department which provide services without charge. Afterwards, lunch included at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Universal City. Then on to Sylmar where we will tour the Guide Dogs of America facility also dedicated to those men and women who are visually impaired. A docent will escort you through the training complex to view the kennels, classrooms and training facilities of these wonderful canine companions.

Today we are joined by a professional step-on guide and L.A. history buff, Curt Tucker. This tour highlights the old, new and most unique buildings that make L.A.’s architecture so unique. Includes the Union Station, the Disney Concert Hall, a docent guided tour of Heritage Square, plus a ride on the historic Angel’s Flight, the shortest railway in the world. Bring your dinner and wine, if you like, but only in coolers no larger than 15” wide and 15” high or 22” long. Walking shoes and a sweater or jacket suggested as it gets a little bit cool.
