The OASIS Travel Department invites you to join them for one of their exciting day trips.
With a variety of destinations from museums and musicals to gardens, gambling casinos and more, there is definitely a trip for you to enjoy! All day trips include deluxe transportation from the OASIS Senior Center to the destination and return. Extended trips are offered through the Travel Department and flyers are posted in the Travel office.
Come by the OASIS Senior Center and meet the Travel Department volunteers or call them at 949.718.1810 for assistance. They will be most happy to help you find the trip of your choice. Trips are sold on a first come-first sign-up basis.

Special Exhibit “The World of da Vinci”

We begin the day with a docent tour of the Library. There will be plenty of time to view all of the Reagan Library exhibits, including, a full-scale replica of Reagan's Oval Office, Air Force One and a section of the Berlin Wall. The Air Force One BBQ Buffet Luncheon is included, served under the wing of Air Force One. After lunch, view the special exhibit, "The World of da Vinci." This remarkable exhibition features over three-dozen reconstructions of Leonardo da Vinci's fantastic machines, including over a dozen that are built life size including his Mechanical Lion, Flying Bicycle, Mechanical Bat and Great Kite. Also view many digitally restored (life size) reproductions of da Vinci's art work. Where the Surf Meets the Turf
Enjoy a "Day at the Races." The Del Mar Races attract race enthusiasts from all over the world and is considered among the premier horse
racing meets in the U.S. The horse racing event is put on by the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The one-mile oval race track with stadium seats holds about 14,000 fans. Club House Seating, Lunch on your own.

Travel to Christ Cathedral for an opportunity to see the frescos of the Sistine Chapel up close. The frescos have been digitally emblazoned on fabric panels to within centimeters of their actual size. They are displayed in the exhibit in roughly the same position as they are in the Sistine Chapel, either as walls or above as a ceiling. After lunch included, visit the Hilbert Museum for a docent tour of the museum. View their newly acquired Rockwell drawings created for the Saturday Evening Post.
